Kristen Phillips, Founder

Hi! I’m Kristen! The Wofa Way is so special to me. The project is named after Wofa, pictured with me, who touched my heart so much during my time in Africa. He has the sweetest soul and loves school more than any kid I have ever met. It is my hope to provide kids around the world with the opportunity they deserve to get the best education. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and years of experience building companies from the ground up and growing their cultures. I have always had a passion for learning and for child care so bringing the two together is a dream come true for me. Taking the inspiration from the orphanage and from Wofa’s love for school I believe we can bring education to kids around the world.

Hannah Giacalone, Co-Founder

Hi! I’m Hannah! I spent several months in Ghana and then I lived in Cape Verde (West Africa) for one and a half years! My love for everything in the African culture runs so deep and I met so many people that changed my life. I believe that every person in this world should have fair access to a good education system and I’m passionate about child literacy and the impact it can make in a child’s life. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and experience building brands of all kinds. I’m so excited to take everything that I have learned from the people in Ghana and Cape Verde and give back to growing communities.
